FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Come join us on Thursday, April 5th at 6:30 pm, at WONDERLAND (address is in the Eventbrite invitation) for our “Food For Thought” dinner series. Join Dr. Mark Hyman to discuss the health, social, political and environmental consequences of our food system and current controversies in nutrition based on his new book, the New York Times Bestseller, FOOD: WHAT THE HECK SHOULD I EAT?

Dr. Hyman is a eleven-time #1 New York Times Bestselling author, the Director of the Cleveland Clinic Center for Functional Medicine, and the founder of The Ultrawellness Center in Lenox, MA. Each person will receive a copy of his new book and he will lead a discussion and Q&A on the current state of “FOOD”. What are health, social, political, economic, and environmental impacts of the food we eat and our food system? Should you be Paleo or vegan? Keto or low fat? Is dairy a health food? Or dangerous? Is eating meat the way to save the environment and our health? Or does it cause disease and climate change?

Chef Misha, of The Health Warrior Project, will provide a mindful, “Pegan” dinner and will introduce his new “FOOD FOR THOUGHT” dinner series. The food will be gluten free, dairy free, sugar free, and filled with high quality fats and vegetables, sustainable and organic. Chef Misha aims to heal communities from the inside out, by using food as the catalyst and as avehicle for lasting change. You will understand what Food is Medicine really means. A ticket to this event is a ticket to a healthier you, a healthier planet and a healthier us.

Chef Misha partners with one of New York City’s premier Urban Farmers, Simon Roberts. Roberts is the founder of Allott.co and author of the upcoming children’s book, The Dalai Fama.Roberts will supply urban vegetables for the dinner and will leada brief discussion about the importance of knowing where your food comes and the importance of local and decentralized farming.

What is a "mindful dinner” without a mindful soundtrack? Hawaii’s own Root Hub, a singer songwriter legend, creator of SONGRISER workshops, and a Wanderlust performer and teacher will lead a guided musical mediation. Root Hub will also contribute his unique and one of a kind “Instant Anthems”throughout the evenings.

Our host, Amber Rae reminds us to choose Wonder Over Worry and to remember that FOOD is not as complicated as we may think. Join us for a night of reflection and education on perhaps the single biggest issue facing us as individuals and as a society – FOOD and our food system. We hope you will leave with a new relationship to food, community, mindfulness and health, one that’s informed and inspired and empowered.

We look forward to sharing an evening of FOOD FOR THOUGHT with you.

Shine and Dine: A Night of Music and Mindfulness

IMG_1477.PNG

There’s no feast more fulfilling than one which feeds the soul as well as the body.

Misha & Roothub are modern wizards when it comes to creating evenings where culinary exaltations dance with musical enchantments.

These two provide everything hoped for, and always something extra, for a dining experience which leaves all vibrating at a higher frequency with nourishing fuel in your bellies.

Every moment stands still and salutes the senses as these two gentlemen weave a fabric of fellowship. Misha is a consummate chef and showman in the kitchen, while Roothub is a master of instant anthems, with a voice that send chills and warm hearts.

Misha and Roothub both have a deep understanding of the foundation of health and nutrition, and how music aids in the digestion process. The mission is to nourish and immerse, entertain and inspire.

We will be listening to enchanting music, listening to poetry from a special guest, and we will also have a brief lecture by Misha about his father's new book, which currently sits #1 on Amazon, "FOOD, What the Heck Should I Eat?"

Fine dining, mesmerizing music, and illuminating entertainment are always in abundance when Misha & RootHub arrive and unpack their magic.

Come meet us for an enchanting evening, on Sunday, March 4th at 7:00pm!
